About the course

Whether you are just starting out in customs and learning about compliance, seeking to refresh knowledge, looking for expertise on the details within the essentials of customs, Customs Manager’s Pillars of Customs Compliance will cover day-to-day operational challenges global trade professionals face.

Study typical examples of fundamental customs problems and analyse, debate and challenge your way to their solutions with expert guidance. This two-day intensive training provides you with the capabilities you need to be a skilful, effective and efficient customs and global trade professional.

  • Customs classification of items with divergent HS codes across multiple countries. How do you reconcile the differences?

  • You need to find the correct customs value to your goods. What is the right customs value that you need to assign?

  • You wish to determine the origin of manufactured articles. They were produced with parts from many jurisdictions. How do you find out what the origin of the good really is, respecting the Rules of Origin?

  • How do you set up a customs management and compliance system across your business that really works?

Complete this hands-on workshop and immediately put the new knowledge to work for your company, enabling you to:

  • Streamline the intercompany HS classification procedures after having worked through hands-on classification examples guides by experts. If you let us know your range of products upon registration, we may even pick one of yours to work through.

  • Cut the risk of false customs valuations by getting a solid grounding of all valuation methods, including challenging valuation nuts to crack.

  • Save customs duty through correct and complete use of preferential origin, including statements of origin, supplier declarations etc.

  • Reinforce your companies' customs procedures by putting in place the best practice guidance you learned by discussing in the group and with the experts.

  • Grow your network of customs geeks and experts to help you out when it gets tough.

  • Stop your colleagues making expensive customs compliance mistakes.
