Mid-July 2020, the US issued a new Executive Order, turning the US Hong Kong Autonomy Act into law. It enacts sanctions such as asset freezing measures and a travel ban to be enacted on people or entities involved in restricting the freedoms of individuals under the Hong Kong national security law. It includes those involved in its adoption/implementation.
It comes after the US BIS has already issued measures restricting exports of defense articles. We capture all the developments on this page so that professionals dealing with Hong Kong can easily follow all developments from a single page.
