About the event
Our Community Meet-ups are opportunities for customs, export controls, sanctions, import and export professionals, and anyone interested in customs and global trade to get together in a virtual event and discuss matters of interest. When we meet, there will usually be a theme or topics which a community member will present. It will allow us to continuously build subject matter expertise and grow our network by meeting like-minded people across borders and distance. Everyone is welcome to attend; all we ask is that you register.
This Friday's topic will centre on "Due Diligence", pivotal subjects for customs, export control, sanctions, and financial professionals. We will delve into enhanced due diligence, exploring what it entails and its significance in ensuring compliance. Additionally, we'll discuss best practices for companies to design effective due diligence programs, incorporating anti-money laundering measures. Moreover, we'll explore how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can develop low-cost programs to enhance compliance with customs, export control, sanctions, and anti-money laundering regulations.
