About the event

Successful Exporting is an introductory course for new(er) exporting companies. It develops awareness and excellent knowledge for new staff with export responsibilities who need to learn how to handle aspects of moving goods to international destinations, including export documentation. Unique feature: A hands-on workshop creating your export documents is included.

This four-hour course is designed to help you deal with all activities required to help you manage your exports successfully.

  • What types of exports are there?
  • What is the connection between exports & transit?
  • What is the relationship between exports and imports?
  • Export goods: step by step
  • Introductions to prohibition and restrictions rules for exporting (including licencing)
  • Introduction to the importance of Incoterms for exports
  • Introduction to broker management and "Who will lodge the export declaration?"
  • Introduction to commodity code classification for exports
  • Workshop on Export Documentation, including Invoicing for exports or the international invoice
  • VAT for exports - how to correctly zero rate your exports
  • best practices on how to keep commercial invoices and any customs paperwork.

  • describe the export procedure in detail and demonstrate knowledge of restrictions and prohibitions. export regulations (including licencing)
  • clarify the significance of Incoterms about exports.
  • possess a fundamental understanding of customs agent/broker administration and can confidently answer "Who will file the export declaration?".
  • comprehend the fundamental principles governing the classification of commodity codes for export purposes.
  • generate your own export documentation, such as international or export invoices.
  • acknowledge the specifics regarding VAT on exports; how to zero-rate your exports accurately
  • understand the most effective methods for storing commercial invoices and customs documentation.

Who would benefit from this training?

Participants are invited to complete a Quiz after the training. If they pass with a rate of 80%, they will receive a Certificate of Completion in "Successful Exporting". This ascertains that you have received formal training and have met the above-mentioned outcomes and results.
